The mother of one of my children’s friends dropped a seed to me repeatedly for about a year. She would call my house and invite me to her church. I would tell my children if she called to tell her I wasn’t home. I was in a blended marriage with an ex-wife that was determined to destroy our family. I began using marijuana as my source of escape as my husband and I were battling constantly over issues with the children. I felt helpless as my input concerning his children fell on death ears. I had decided that I was going to dissolve the marriage.
A serious issue came to light about one of his children lying about a theft of a test. For some reason I knew he was lying but my husband defended him even though he had been caught in so many lies before. This friend’s mother called one more time. This time I was home and heeded the call. I was at her church that following Sunday. I gave my life to the Lord that Sunday and found a new source of peace. A few months later my husband gave his life and other children soon followed. I was watered at that church and God has been growing me up ever since. Thank you Mrs Dean for your persistance in dropping a seed that changed my life!
